Oh No, Not The Basement!
As December rolled around, I was talking to the Lord and it was here that He told me to step down at church; to walk away from every role there. I started cried for over 45 mimutes. And it was here in this moment, He gave me the picture in my mind of bringing me down to the stairs that led to the basement of my heart. I will be sharing in the next post what the Lord specifically showed me.
It was just me and the Lord. And I knew it would be just us for the next four years. What seemed like it would be forever, went by so quickly. But what He gave to me was the kindest, most generous and loving thing ever - He transformed my heart!
Glory to the Lord Jesus, God our Father and Holy Spirit on High! Who is He that he is mindful of us humans? Who is He, the creator of the Universe wholavishes His grace, peace and powerful LOVE inside of us - to the point of complete and utter change!!! Something we could never do for ourselves, but only He does this! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
PRAYER:
Dear Lord,
Wow and Wowzers!
I cannot even believe I'm writing these words down! You knew at the beginning of time that I'd be sitting here asking YOU to Touch every person who reads these words. To please, God, give them a real, transformative experience with you, God! It's not some knowledge that sounds like blah blah blah. It's you, Holy Spirit: Your magnificent peace, Your magnificent Love, Your Magnificent Glory filling the hearts and lives of us humans who - as your Word describes - are deceitfully wicked! We are so dark inside, we don't even realize how bad it really is. BUT, when Your Glory shines down on us, it's this massive " HOW IN THE WORLD CAN YOU LOVE ME" moment! And it pierces our hearts to the core of who we are. But then, you tell us Jesus paid it all. And so, we can come boldly to Your throne of grace and let you consume our entire being! It's undeniably the most incredible realization in the entire universe ... Your love for such an unlovable people. Your grace for such a sinful generation. And yet, you put Your power inside of us so we can say no to ungodliness and live a life of Your abundance as You - the King of Glory - come into our hearts and take residence inside! Who knew life could be like this - so incredible!!!! You call us Your own; Sons and Daughters of the living God Almighty!
So, Lord, POUR OUT YOUR GLORY! POUR IT OUT, GOD!
We surrender who we think we are and what we have, so You can reveal who You are and give us what Heaven has - as You fill us with Your Glory IN CHRIST! The freedom You gave is incomparable to anything we've ever known. So, make Yourself real, Lord. And not the little wimpy God that the enemy of our soul tries to tell us, but the Great I AM who was, and is and is to come! Do Your mighty work, Lord!!
Thank you for never giving up on us God! We love you and can't wait to let go of the life we think we should be having in exchange for the abundant life you have planned for us!
